Make a wish

At the start of each of my workshops, I ask parents this question — "What is the one thing that you hope will happen for your child because of her education? What is your ultimate hope for your child, one that will be fulfilled because of her education?"

Over and over, parents give these resounding answers. My greatest hope for my child is that she will …

… be confident

… be caring

… be financially stable

… find and pursue a passion

… experience happiness and fulfillment

… contribute to society

… have the courage to follow her own path

… gain an understanding of the world's greatest disciplines

… be excellent at whatever she chooses to do
