The birth of being ‘me’
This is a reflection based on reading the first half of Ishmael by Daniel Quinn, a couple of chapters from The Web of Life by Fritjof Capra and several life experiences. It is meant to serve as a bridge from my last reflection in which I state the sense of separateness in humans as being the root cause of environmental and multicultural issues to a paper in which I will elaborate on this sense of separateness. My last reflection focused on how the sense of self leads to a sense of separateness that is the cause of today’s environmental and multicultural issues. This reflection is focused on the birth of this sense of self and how it is perpetuated in human culture.
