Sir Ken Robinson’s new TED talk

Sir Ken Robinson's new TED talk titled Bring on the learning revolution! builds on his previous talk that makes a case for how schools systematically kill creativity. While not as funny as the first talk, this one makes a more clear case for how education needs to be transformed. Two points stood out to me:

— Its time to personalize education. Thank you, Sir Ken for saying it so unequivocally. Honoring the unique talents of each person is the only way any of us will achieve excellence effortlessly, growing together a community in which we each find meaning and happiness.

— Learning is not a linear process. It cannot be serialized. It happens organically in ways that are unique to each individual and their particular learning circumstance.

His closing quote will stay with me forever, "everyday, everywhere  our children spread their dreams beneath our feet and we should tread softly". Amen.
